Consip offers consultancy in the rationalization of expenditure, the efficiency and transparency of provisioning processes and the promotion of new eProcurement tools on a local scale

The organizational structure of the company is aimed at making it ever more receptive to the requirements and requests of Administrations, thus reinforcing Consip’s role as a center of technical, product-related and consultancy know-how.

In the purchasing sector, Consip has launched two specific projects:

- Green Purchases. Consip has always been strongly committed to Green Public Procurement (GPP). The eProcurement tools it provides to Public Administrations are a reference point for all public green purchases in that they offers, both through the framework contracts and the Electronic Market, goods and services that are environmentally friendly. Its GPP policy is implemented by including in its purchasing initiatives a number of criteria aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the goods and services that are used by Public Administrations throughout the entire life cycle of the product (production, use and disposal). Its tender documentation includes a rating system favouring the suppliers that can prove that they are following criteria that reflect the company’s environmental policy. Also MEPA tenders include green technical product specifications .

- Info-Booth Network. Consip has always guaranteed the maximum participation in the Program, in abidance with the principles of free competition. The 'Info-Booth Network' provides information and training aimed at facilitatine SMEs participation in the Electronic Market. These “Info-Booths” are set up in the premises of local industrial associations and their personnel are trained in ad hoc seminars held by Consip. Currently, there are over 130 “Info-Booths nation-wide, spread throughout the country.
